Amplio Training *Food Hygiene/Fluids And Nutrition course.In Social Care provision staff have a vital role to play in supporting people to eat well and safely and be aware of the importance of good nutrition and hydration for health and wellbeing.
Staff should know how to support individuals to have access to fluids, food and nutrition in accordance with their individual need.
The training can be adapted bespoke to your organisation's policy, procedures and record keeping.
This course links into Care Certificate standard 8.

Content

  • Describe the importance of food safety, including hygiene, in the preparation and handling of food
  • Explain the importance of good nutrition and hydration in maintaining health and wellbeing
  • List signs and symptoms of poor nutrition and hydration
  • Explain how to promote adequate nutrition and hydratiion

Assessment & Certification

The tutor ensures a thorough understanding has been achieved through discussion, activities, practical scenarios and when required a written or verbal questions and answers.
A certificate of attendance will be received upon completion of the course.
