Amplio Training *Dementia Awareness course.As the population ages Dementia is one of the most important issues we face.
This awareness course is designed to enable workforce development for any member of staff working in health or social care with people at any stage of dementia, from the earliest signs to the fully diagnosed condition. It can be used for staff new to the area or as an excellent refresher for those seeking to maintain or update their knowledge.
The course provides a basis for a general understanding of the condition in any setting. It aims to build workers’ confidence in adapting their actions and communication in order to respond appropriately to the person with dementia. Delegates should come away from the session understanding what dementia is, how to manage it and with a greater awareness of the sensitive issues faced by these individuals and their families.

Assessment & Certification

The tutor ensures a thorough understanding has been achieved through discussion, activities, practical scenarios and when required a written or verbal questions and answers.
A certificate of attendance will be received upon completion of the course.
