* FAA Combined Level 3 (RQF) Outdoor & Paediatric First Aid
This course will be delivered by Group Training or Blended Learning
This course combines the modules in Outdoor First Aid and Paediatric First Aid. The course can be ran at an indoor venue or take place outdoors with undercover space available. It is specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure and recreation, Forest Schools and work with children and adults.Not only is Basic Life Support for Adults and Children included, but many other First Aid conditions are also covered, making the full qualification very comprehensive.

A range of subjects are covered including:-* Responsibilities and reporting *Environmental factors * Basic hygiene in First Aid *Assessment of the situation *Dealing with an unresponsive casualty *Resuscitation & Defibrillation *Drowning *Bleeding control *Shock *Choking *Fainting *Burns *Electrical injuries *Fractures * Muscle Injuries *Head injuries *Spinal injuries *Diabetes *Heart attacks *Angina *Infantile convulsions *Seizures *Asthma *Sickle cell anaemia *Meningitis *Anaphylaxia * Minor injuries *Foreign bodies *Eye injuries *Bites & Stings *Poisoning *Heat and cold
Duration
Group Training: A minimum of 18 hours contact hours. Learners may need to complete some theory of this course outside of contact hours.Blended Learning: Via Webinar - 5 hours 10 minutes, Classroom Time 9 hours 50 minutes
Numbers
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 14 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment. A student cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for that role.The certificate will expire as dated on the certificate, irrespective of age.Assessment & Certification
Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor together with oral questioning and a written assessment. 2 three year qualifications will be issued to the learner, subject to assessment, in both Level 3 Paediatric First Aid and Activity First Aid.No dates have currently been scheduled for this course.
